lol, does Odineye even HAVE a mouth to drink that with?
The part about the 100 other test subjects dying sounds really ominous.
Also, were the cyborgized xarenua and arazael part of those 100 or are they the 101st which lived?
Boy, talk about do-overs…
@smjjames – Funny you should ask that. My wife actually suggested I should just have Odineye swimming around in the beer to “drink” it.
The cyborg Arazel and Xarenia are from this point in time (they’re elves, so they live a really, really long time).
But how can they be from the now-time if this Timeripperthing takes the persons from the moment of their death? How can they live in a later (cyborg) form ,when they seem to die (have died ,will die) in their old form and style?
Hmmm, lets try this theory. Some time during (or after) this storyline they get transported back to the past after Thor and co have left. Toss in a little loss of memory (possibly an aftereffect of traveling backwards in time) and they can continue to live until they become the cyborg pair. Or we could be dealing with alternate realities, in which case the cyborg girls may come from an alternate timeline where the dragon didn’t completely fry them.
Let the shooting down of these theory’s begin!
Even though Elves do live a very long time, you would think thier hair would have greyed a bit after a couple centuries.
As far as the alternate realities go, it’s kind of hard to tell because it’s already been some centuries since that last adventure.
Oh yea, here is one possibility, given advanced technology, I bet that Thor and co. tried to clone the remnants (I’m sure the cyborg didn’t fry ALL of thier DNA) and came up with the cyborg pair eventually. It doesn’t explain how they are nearly exactlty like thier past versions though.
@smjjames 25th century plastic surgery rocks! Besides, they’re doing tasks for gods, a little divine intervention now and again and all your aging problems just seem to disappear.
@Rayna, I meant almost identical behaviorally because even a clone would have a different experience from the origional, especially if the clone is made centuries later.
unless you meant the aging stuff.
Erm… Why am I the only one scared of a “Monkey in Heat Curse”? It sounds… dangerous…
This storyline is confounding and confusing, I APPROVE! The only thing that could top all of this is Hod actually being able to see. And Mimir’s Head is flying around in one of those levitating jar things that you might see in Futurama…
eeek… 100 other test subjects died?? that does NOT sound good… although I am wondering what they need the past versions of Arazel and Xarenia to help them with
I’m betting the Past pair will be sent back in time. Yes, the 100 other subjects what died is more than a bit worrisome, were they not yanked in time, or some techincal problem occur?
Yes, I know enough to be scared silly of a “monkey heat ” curse. Trebly so if it involves chimpanzees.
Aging: depending on the mythology, Elves show little to know aging in the first place, and secondly, don’t forget the Aesir anti aging apples. ;D
Been reading awhile and have never posted but I had to on this one. So who’s the Merkur person? Imagine my surprise at seeing that semi-obscure reference.
Well, you see, Flower was this AMAZING matriarch of the Whiskar tribe on “Merkur Manor”…
I love the shout out to Misfile in this comic…
I haven’t read this comic in a while. Glad to see you guys have still got it!
Why do the bones in Arazel’s legs look so weird in panel #1?
@Matt: It might be like a female lycanthrope having lots of dogs chase after her… Seen a couple instances of that in comic stories…
