I dont believe they’d work very well against this guy…
but… in Norse Mythology, when you need a weapon you either get “the hammer” or Gram. But seeing as one doesn’t work and one is lost…
I don’t feel like guessing today, so this message is at and end and I shall wait for the next installment in this wondrous edda.
Same Norse time, time same Norse channel…
(Someone has probably already said it, my brain is screaming “unoriginal” at me, so I think it probably is. Oh well.)
Anyways, he has got to have some kind of weakness. Balder was invulnerable to just about everything, except mistletoe.
Theres also Jormundgyrs venom, it is able to kill a god and I don’t think Balder was origionally protected against that. At least I don’t remember the myth asking Jormundgyrs venom not to kill Balder. I know Jormundgyr is dead, but something that big has got to still have some venom in his glands or wherever its made.
Gram was a magic sword that was able to strike by itself. Sigurd used it to kill Fafnir, and Odin stuck it into a tree, among other stories – one waas one where a god traded it for another held by the Jotun… I forget exactly who was involved.
And that venom is a good idea, when Jörmungandr died he was said to poison the whole sea. Getting it would be simple.
gurk! REading back through, I see I made a typo, it should have been “seamless”, as in “nice job tying everything together” instead of “is something missing?”
and I still think Thor showing up in Helheim ought to through some serious ratchets in several gears. Like busting up that machine, (would that even help anything at this point?) or mayhap throwing him back in and reversing the machine, restoring both Baldor and Hel.
if all else fails, yes I’m iwth the Jomungyrs poison team, since a self wielding sword doesn’t look like it’d do much good at htis point.
Only one thing though, we don’t know whether the venom needs to be injected or if it just needs skin contact or something. Throwing it in Pookas face so that it gets in his eyes/mouth should be enough.
Still, they are going to have to get it first and they are going to have to treat it like a radioactive substance. Either using some sort of machine or if it turns out to be highly corrosive, then magic ought to work.
What is it time to break out your entire miniature collection and all of your dice because it’s finally here, the gaming session where you get to kill a god?
I’m liking the sound of that; Jormungandr’s venom on one of Loki’s mistletoe darts (doubtful anything else could break Pookah’s skin at this point). Sooooo, who’s in charge of weapons in their little band?
I think Sif forgot that Pookah is now invulnerable to almost everything, Time to pull out the mistletoe darts

Gram? what are you talking about?

Is Xarenia just gonna act as a lightning conductor? she might not like it…

*edit* Actually, make that a highly radioactive substance, which should describe it a little better than just radioactive.
Why not a self-wielding sword that has just been dipped in Jomungyr’s venom/poison?

Best way to deal with a giant-sized shapeshifter? Poison. Does it for Loki every time.
