They may not be villains, but they still have some villainous cutthroat in their personalities.
EDIT: Oops, my apologies to those that stopped by and couldn’t see the comic early this morning. I forgot to take into account that I’m on East Coast time this week, so the post showed a date of 11:34pm yesterday instead of 12:34am today. The Comicpress software uses the date to determine which image to display for the comic, and it obviously couldn’t find one for yesterday. It should be fixed now. Again, sorry for the inconvenience for those that already stopped by (and thanks to all the readers that contacted me and let me know there was a problem).
I’m actually sort of surprised at you.
Going back to alter the past so this future doesn’t exist?
Either you decided halfway you didn’t like it or it gives the “present day” strip a very clear goal.
Hmm. I’m not quite sure what to think of this yet.
Sorry I haven’t commented in a while, I am still reading, and am very intrigued to see where this is going!
………. 1. Strange lazer cannon is not used on poohka
2. Time travel means that the event path here should have closed, and switched to a different probable course of history in the case of interference with the preceding event chain. By that logic they have already failed to remove poohka in the past when he could be bound and gagged.
3. Magic that runs people to stone, don’t use it on the giant mammalian self made deity.
4. I don’t know, i just realized i was nitpicking the story of a great strip and should just be quiet and watch the show.
Oooh crap. I understood everything (well, maybe a bit less ^^) til now…
however, I’m just burning with curiosity…
What about the side-effects of modofying the past?
And I think you forgot to draw xarenia’s left hand at her last and pink appearance?
What I think is nagging at me the most is where was Odineye hiding that lazer?
Everything has me at standard levels of confusion, though I think we have an answer about Hod.
He was obviously completely under mind control, but… did he figure out how his plan after Pooka got distracted or did he work it out while still under Pooka’s control. Is he still under Pooka’s control? Is this just a plot to rid Pooka of some pests? If Hod is truely free and did figure this plan of his out while being controlled does Pooka have any awareness of it?
Right now I’m not even going to worry about all the potential paradox.
Oh, and why not turn Pooka to stone? As long as they don’t animate him like they did Xarenia we should actually be fine.
@Yrael
1. Laser Cannon is likely a time device sending those two back in time. Not used on Pookah likely because no good will come of sending a near omnipotent monster into the past.
2. That’s only one theory. They could be working off of the idea of a recursive timeline that creates loops as part of the overall stream. While subjectively they still see Pookah all powerful, it is because in the universal time line, he has yet to be stopped in the past. Succinctly: Going backwards is still going forward. They could also be working on an alternate timeline theory in which there will still be the time that is ruled by Pookah, but they will be able to diverge from it and create a new path for time to follow in which Pookah does not win.
3. Remember, Pookah has twofold powers. Nothing can harm him save perhaps mistletoe, and that may include magic (considering Mjolnir isn’t having an easy time) and on top of that, he has Hel’s abilities to alter reality, and is currently on her home turf, which would only amplify those powers. Trying to turn him into stone (especially considering how close you have to get to do so) would only result in failure.
4. Indeed.
pretty cool episode there
Also, is that Odineye crying at the second to last frame?
As far as the curses, obviously they are planning on having the curses somehow mess with pookah.
OK, I admit I’m totally confused at this point. And wondering:
Where is the other Xarenia? I must have missed something . . . .
No idea where the other Xarenia is, she dissapeared after episode 314, which was back in late August.
