#322 – Twilight of The Hod: Flameproof Elves
Oct22
Seemingly walking out of dragon fire unscathed… they’re gonna have stories told about them someday.

Sorry I haven’t been replying to comments lately. I’ve been working through illness, so all my energy’s been going to work and recovering (at least, trying to recover). I have read (and enjoyed) all the comments though, and I’ll get some replies posted as soon as I can.

And to quote one of my other favorites: REboot!
Ye gods… It’s been months… Anybody have a callback link so I can refresh myself on where they left off in this timeframe?
Try #275 — March 21, 2008
Self-image issues? Hee! Damn, I can’t stop laughing over that one! =^-^=
congrats, btw. I don’t know how many other comics have negated parts of their past with time travel, but it’s definitely not commonplace!
Take care!
I swear to Ghu, if JR Ewing shows up I’m going to give you such a pinch!
@Nentuaby: we’re about halfway thru Mjolinjir Madness. The Brats are about the enter the fortress to retrieve the hammer.
Very interesting. Wonder if Pookah has figured out something’s not quite right . . . .
you guys really should do the schedule of doing this comic on Wenesdays and Fridays IMO.
But, if you guys have a busy schedule and don’t want to sacrifice quality too much, then ok I guess.
But… but… where’s Hod??? *blubbers a bit* I see the Pookah, but not my Hodikins…
Nice resolution. They… all actually collaborated and played mostly nicely with Odineye! Wow!
@Jasta, he probably just walked off to write poetry, as all hods do from time to time.
Man this just keeps getting funnier and funnier. Love it when the dragon squirrel thingie turns around and says “we prefer ‘em big”
YAY! I’m all caught up! I stumbled upon this comic about a month ago (give or take) through link at Ménage à 3, and have resisted commenting until I was finished reading it all.
I’ve been most impressed with it! It’s entertaining – even my sons love it. (They like Loki best, while I prefer Hod.)
@Jasta – I get the feeling we’ll be seeing Hod very soon. I’m thinking he hitched a ride back with the blonde elf.
You know, a Hod plushie would be kinda cool to have…
congrats to the authors for keeping track of every little detail in this comic. i love all the little foreshadowing hints you guys make, and then tying them back together months later. it was interesting to see the girls just flat out incinerate with only a single sentence to mention it, then see them get teleported back into the comic in Twilight of the Hod, THEN get teleported BACK to their moment of death right now. i
t’s just like how pookah’s character was directly introduced all the way back in Mjolnir Madness, but only a few pages ago he explains how he’s actually the mysterious figure next to the half-dead Hod back in Norse Force, which was months before Mjolnir Madness.
this whole universe you guys have made in this comic is amazing in how epic it is, yet even more so in how it all always ties back together. congrats guys, this is one of the best webcomics i’ve ever seen.
also kudos on remembering the whole “clothes showing up a second later” bit.
So, Jeff, you got ‘the plague’ as well? Isn’t it so much ‘fun’? Now I know why the CDC is pushing for shots this year. Spent three days wondering if I’d rather be dead.
Hodikins didn’t go on the Mjolnir madness quest. He stayed home, remember? Thor was picked up by the Pookah, and followed the rest of the adventure once they reached that first village, where they met the Elves.
@Winni, EGADS! You’re right! Forgot about that! Excalmation mark!
@ Archimedea (cool name, BTW…):
A Hod plushie?? OMG… Yes. *smiles*
I have a Bernina… and I sew. Be afraid. Or pleased.
Stay tuned… not like a grey tee, black pants and sneakers would be hard to do… heh heh heh… how tall should I make it?
@Wynni: *blush* I had forgotten too. You’re right… when we saw him last he was dragging bags of dirt (or something) upstairs and trying not to gag while his parental units made out on the sofa… What WAS in those sacks???
@Jasta
Big enough to cuddle with, yet small enough he’d look cool on a shelf or on the sofa. That’s what I’m thinking anyway.
I’ve also recently caught up to date on the comic having started about three weeks ago, and I must say it is awesome.
Shapeshifting Dragons, legends…. it all makes for good reading. Just a pity that I always miss the foreshadowing
