Ahhh, even in print, I can hear the wealth of hidden sentiment in that little statement.

@Wynni: Odineye obviously has Odin’s… er… ah… (dern my punishing vocab)…eye for the finer Friggs in life, to go along with his sense of abandonment. I love his bashful stance at the end.

It makes me wonder exactly what Odin’s other eye would be like if given sentience…
Poor Odineye—no wonder he’s pissed—Odin sacrificed the wrong eye—although it may have been the right, er good, er correct one as far as Odin himself was concerned.
We’ve been assuming (or at least I have) that the left eye is the evil Eye. But perhaps not.
Or maybe he is not really evil. He hasn’t really done anything truly evil I don’t think. The Pookah seemed more evil than Odineye.
It’s not like he wants to destroy the world or kill all gods, he is really only after Odin.
Odineye is more like angry at Odin for abandoning him. He doesn’t seem to hold much of a grudge at Thor for defeating him just about every time.
OMG… I’ve finally finished reading them all… after so many… days! I went to click “next” and there wasn’t one yet! GONK!
Anyhoo… as for the whole comic… I loved it! I got lost a few (hundred) times, but I re-read the arcs 7 or 12 times and eventually it did sink in (with the help of a thump or two on the back of the thick skull with Thor’s hammer).
The only thing I had a problem with is the little info button near the bottom of each comic. Each time I clicked it, a box came up with, I’m assuming, a little info on the current comic, which I’m also guessing, is supposed to help explain the comic to unlearned non-Nordic heathens such as myself. However, whatever is written there is impossible for me to see. All I can tell is there is very bright yellow writing on a very white background… I can see the colour differences, but it is not enough for me to decipher exactly what is written there. I’m not quite like Hod with the total blindness thing, though I am classified as “legally blind” (I’m reading this with special software
). Even magnified several times I still can’t read the text in the box. And I’ve tried them all!
What is all that impossible to read text written in all those info boxes? Please?

@Krynne – The INFO button is for the bookmark utility (I corrected the background color oddity, so it should be legible now). This feature allows you to tag a comic page and when you come back to the site, you can just click on the GOTO TAG button and jump right to where you left off.
Wish there was more to it than that… but I’m still working on those other “info” pages to add to this site with whatever spare time I can scrape up. More details about the characters and more about the actual myths behind them. If I’m lucky, I’ll have them ready to go by the end of January.
@Wolf Gunnison – Odineye was in “disguise” when they last met face-to-face (Winter Break). At the Pantheon Games, he was in Cyclopean Minotaur Powered Armor until the end… but the brats and Frigg were all safely in the stands… without any binoculars (and Frigg was probably a few barrels of mead into the event by then anyways).
@Jeffery: Not too surprising that he is taking it out on the one who keeps defeating his plots. Plus he was using a shapeshifter at that time, so…
Can I just say that the “Mom, Loki made me throw up on the stairs…again!” line at the beginning of this story arc STILL has me giggling? Please tell me that was Hermod.
I’ve read all the comics, and I just started from the beginning to go through them again. Beautiful, beautiful work, guys. I just love it. The second time around is even more fun!
Makes sense it would be Hermod given what he’s said about running in circles to make enemies dizzy.
And the “eye that didn’t wander” line is the saddest one ever. It tells so much about Odineye’s character!
