Never say no-rules unless you have full-body armor, and high-tech weaponry and your enemy hasn’t (and is in no position to steal it from you and use it in an imaginative way). It might hurt.
OOooh no, No way Odineye gets off that easy. . .but on the other hand, how would a dead guy pay up, with interest? Sounds like Hel kinda put herself in a no win situation, even if she did win the fight.
Seems like Odineye is assuming a lot here. Hel is an underworld/death deity, after all… killing a death goddess is a little like trying to drown a fish.
To Hel with the rules? *snicker*
What’s with the orange blood, is it supposed to be gold?
Our friend O E looks very good, considering he just got smushed.
The blood is red, but it’s orangy because of the light in the fort. Seeing as they’re still inside the fort, which is lit from the campfire the brats built a few episodes ago, I’m coloring the strip with that as the only light source, so everything has an orangy-yellow tint to it.
You could have just said it’s ambrosia, or just weird because it’s Hel’s blood. No, you had to use actual art and light as a reference for your logic. Great job keep it up.
Yes, when Hel gets stabbed, all the good feelings she keeps locked inside her, her “SUNNY DISPOSITION” if you will spills out.
Unfortunately my brain misfired and I thought “SUNNY D”, hence the orange blood..!
So, during my random hops across some of the ranking sites that the comic I work on is listed at, I decided to pop over here and take a look. I did, and this page left me with a big ?, so I went back a page, still had the ?, so I started from the beginning, that was…*checks clock* about six hours ago. I am now caught up, and I find this amazingly addictive.
The art is stellar, the story hilarious in places, and I find Hod quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.
Thanks, Keith. Yeah, Brat-halla isn’t always new reader friendly with the current pages. I’ve been trying to figure out some way to help with that, but with all the mythology and specific character development done throughout the comic, it’s not an easy task. Maybe I could include more of a “previously…” or “currently in Brat-halla…” type of text with each update. Hmm…
Does this mean you will be ending them comics all cheesy Batman style as well? ” Same Brat Halla Time. Same Brat Halla web page”
And there has to be more to this right I mean while Odineye is cute in that bad guy who will never be Mr. big league but oh so determine, there is no way he’s just going to manage to get the drop on Hel like that AND win right? Then again Hel’s not one of my top five but still, I couldn’t look at myself in the Underworld if I lost to an EYEBALL! Even an eyeball such as Odineye
“And there has to be more to this right I mean while Odineye is cute in that bad guy who will never be Mr. big league but oh so determine, there is no way he’s just going to manage to get the drop on Hel like that AND win right?”
You’ll just have to wait to find out… here at Brat-halla. Same Brat-halla time. Same Brat-halla web page. ^_^
A very intriguing idea. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the read, even if it did take me til nearly 9am.
Plus, Mythos have always fascinated me. Years ago, I was tinkering with a Greek pantheon based idea, but scrapped it, since it’s one of the more common pantheons utilized in so many different forms.
Kinda looks like something that I would do if they said no rules. Attack before the enemy is prepared.
Oops.
Kinda had to see that one coming didn’t she…..
Now we know why Frigg was crying…no more #1 sitter…and also why Hod was so upset…
Nah. There’s no way it’ll be that easy…..right?
The bigger they are… ^_^
Can Hel really even die? She is half corpse…
http://brat-halla.com/comic/206-pantheon-games-legs-to-die-for/
Odineye is a dismembered eyeball. Doesn’t that make him a zombie? So technically, Hel won since she was half alive, not undead.
Well, Hel is a deity, and it ain’t Ragnarok, so I’m gonna go with *no*.
Never say no-rules unless you have full-body armor, and high-tech weaponry and your enemy hasn’t (and is in no position to steal it from you and use it in an imaginative way). It might hurt.
Whoa… but wait… this is Hel we’re talking about.
Even if I were Odineye or a gremlin, I sure as heck wouldn’t turn my back on her…. heh….
Well, she DID look surprised, so she might take a while.
Shades of Butch Cassidy!
Exactly what I was thinking.
“There are no rules in a knife fight!”
Hooray for Brat-halla readers with great taste in movies!
Har har. Snicker.
And also: “Soon we’ll know!”

But you can drown a fish… you just have to use the right liquid. ^_^
Touche’.
@ Wynni as Desika sad it she’s an underworld/death diety, so if Mr. Eye dies she’ll meet him again down There… I think so…
Hmm. Hel hath no fury . . . .

I could have said it was those reasons, but my Half Vulcan nature just WOULDN’T LET IT GO..!
Well, ya could’ve just said it was thhe blood of the gods. I mean, Greek Gods have golden blood.
But then, it could be the lighting. ^_^
Great job with the colors as always, Anthony!
Odineye wields the magical blade “Sun-kissed”, which turns your blood into orange soda. ^_^

There..! Where’s my no-prize..?
Marvel quit giving them, I think. But I got one heck of a laugh.
If it was, then it wouldn’t be her blood anymore.

Kudos to you, and you have a new reader.

edit: the comics not them comic. God I need coffee 23 hours and no sleep is bad.
Yeah, but it keeps Odineye valid as a villain. I don’t don’t think we’ve heard the last of Hel.
