Previously… There once was a boy who could change at will his shape, his form. He was popular with all the boys and even his principal. He was gone from sight for oh, so long, but he never left. Not really. Just out of sight long enough to be forgotten.
Currently… Odineye and his crew escaped the clutches of the evil (semi-evil? unintentionally hurtful?) Norse gods while making off with a collection from his time spent under their noses as the incredible backup dad. Now, he’s finally home and we find out he had a plan for being there all along.
Uh oh. Vanir. Aesir. Shape-changing goblin…
All it needs now is Deadpool and I smell a sitcom!
End of backup dad? =?
so that’s where they REALLY came fromalways wondered…excellent arc, by the by…
DAstardly, utterly dastardly, yet fitting for odineye. You ebile geniuses, what’s next?
i thought his plan was to destroy the godlings while odin was away? now we find out hes making a family? interesting twist
the colors in this strip are just. so. good.
sooo…when did the shifter take over…after Hel “died”…was it the shifter the whole time…How Is Hel…the World Wants To Know…or at least my miniscule part of it….
Good question, J C… since the shifter was busy the whole time with other things as far as I could tell- assembling weapons for Odineye. Blasting him out with flame, retrieving the gassy chicken- when did he have time for impersonating anyone? Or maybe I am just confused…
Shifter = Goblin, right? Or do we have 2 goblins, one weaponsmith and one shifter?
“Except the one Valkyrie, except I didn’t mind that so much.” Love it. Laughed really loud at that.
I believe the “featured” character was the gremlin – not a goblin. Which is why there were sooo many weapon glitches going on…
I stand corrected. Gremlin. Which makes sense as weaponsmith.
And now, rereading it, they ARE two different characters.
Where the bloody hell was I that I missed that? Not paying close enough attention, obviously.
Now I must go back and study every panel to work out what else I missed.
Weird stuff. The whole arc didn’t really grab me, except the Hel part.
I love odineye, probably my favorite character.
I’m betting that Hel was never actually present during this arc. Even when selecting henches, she deliberately chose the valkyries over others that could, y’know, actually INJURE something.
Man, I miss the early days of this strip, like the Deity games…that was teh kewl. The timeshifting and other stuff has been pretty incoherent, like the comic version of the hit-or-miss brit novel _Vanity Fair_ Crama (Crap+drama+Crama). And I expected so much more. This is all you could come up with in the last 250 comix? Plz try harder.
