#412 – Jr. Pantheon Games: Why Is It Inescapable?
Jul21
Nothing like a good ol’ scientific poke with a stick to get you back on your feet again. Good thing too… cause I think Balder would rather be conscious for this next quest.

Who’s up for a Labyrinth?
ME! ME!
A game with Valkyries and a buffet?? I’m in!!
All three! All three!
Wait a second…Is it called inescapable for a reason?
Wait, those doors in the fifth panel weren’t there in the fourth one. Could it be…Magic?! BUM BUM BUUUMMM!
I love that there’s a door for each of them! Games for the little runner, a buffet for our big eater, and Valkyries for the beauty king. If only Loki were there. He could smell a trick! On the other hand, what would his door say? Dollhouse?
I see the tentacles of Odineye in this . . . that’s the minotaur he refused to hire (see Career Daze pt 9, episode 65) because he escaped from his inescapable lair.
Anyone notice that the passage way for “All Three” doesn’t go anywhere? It’s a short closed off hall (pit trap probably).
The entirety of the right hand wall isn’t shown, so it could branch sharply to the right almost immediately after entry.
The kids rejected him as a Back up Dad too, because he said his maze was only NEARLY inescapable.
Well, given that Thor is there, he is likely to just try to smash through any walls in his way to get to what he wants. (Hermod: “We need to go that way. ” Thor: “Ok. One door coming up”. Baldur: “Hey! Wait!” )
Now, the big question is what would the signs say for each of the other teams? For the Greek team, perhaps “Knowledge, Treasure, Babes, All Three”?
I just realized something by looking at the maze. The walls are only like 10 feet high, and the corridors are through solid stone, with most of the volume being stone. Assuming that there is not a magic, invisible ceiling over the top, the solution is, once they get inside, is for Thor to toss Baldur up to the top of the wall, followed by the shield and rope, then Thor and Hermod climb up, and the entire group run along the top of the maze towards the exit point. Thereby “solving” the “inescapeable Maze”.
I like how the “All Three” path immediately ends after five feet.
No, if you look carefully “all three” continues to the right. in other words… I love how things are turning out as the games go on XD, I’d pick the last path =D
Great work guys!!!
Hmph. Nothin’ for the gals here. I think the minotaur needs to work on his marketing technique.
I imagine the doors lead to (or are at least labeled for) different things depending on who is at the entrance.
Baldur says, “I was to… I haven’t fallen off…”
Should have been spelled ‘too’ … unless he interrupted himself and changed his mind on what he was about to say
Grammar Gorilla Smash!
Just realized what the name of the barker could be: Minotaur Hall. (Let’s Make a Deal)
“So, will you choose Door #1, Door #2, Door #3, or Door #4? Or will you take what Alex is bring down the stairs?” (Crowd starts kibitzing)
Um…it’s a *Minotaur*. It doesn’t say that you get to eat what’s on the buffet. That may mean you get to BE the buffet. And the door to the Valkyries may be simply because the testosterone-soaked ones need marinading to get rid of the gamy taste first. I hear a good soak in buttermilk works wonders for that.
