How sad
In more ways than one.
Kind of reminds you, though, that with Frigg’s future sight she may well already know how things with Odineye are going to end. That’s kind of sad too
If you guys make me cry I will poke you all with a stick. A lot. Except maybe Seth. He’s just the poor pawn forced to put into pictures the evil that the other two perpetrate
Which other two? Anthony is just the pretty colors guy, and Eschele is only seven years old, how evil can she be? Well she is seven…
I didn’t do nuthin’… it was Jeffery. I’m just the pretty guy what does colors!
IT WAS JEFFERY, I TELLS YA..!
If it’s the Evil 7-year old…. best wrap the stick with foam, those children are fragile you know!
(PS: Keep up the amazing work!)
The evil 7-year old isn’t that fragile–she leaps off stairs and roughhouses with her older brother all the time. She’s not totally evil though–there will be a place for everyone in her kingdom when she takes over the world one day.
Norse mythology came up at work today in a meeting (to do with a project) and I turned out to be only one actually halfway knowledgeable on the subject… and I suddenly realised that pretty much everything I know about it I got from this comic.
Brilliant comic by the way, enjoy it immensely!
That is an awesome story. I’m glad our entertaining (but secretly educational) comic had work applications for you.
Oh Hod, There’s no need to ruin everyones fun!
It’s sorta his job, what with being a god of darkness and winter, and all that rot…
Gold star for Alistaire!
There is absolutely a need for him to ruin it… and that reason was given way back in Episode #134:

… aww… Frigg is sad…. :’(
I hope everything turns out okay
As long as no one brings up what happened the last time they had some remodeling in Asgard. What with the giants and Loki having to shapechage into that horse and everyone knows what happened then.
Well you see, when a god and a horse love each other very much…
An eight legged horse is born a few months later.
Norse mythology is very much about people doing their respective job…
the mistletoe incident was just the same thing… Loki isn’t “evil” either, he just did his job. No one can be invulnerable. It throws the world off balance.
You can see 9/11 as a mistletoe type incident, too. Of course you’ll get lynched if you say this in public. But think about it.
These things go in cycles, yup, exactly. Very good episode.
What I mean to say is, it’s very much like a clockwork, mechanical kind of thing. Like it’s pre-programmed. Hence the strong belief in “fate”.
I realize it’s sad for Frigg and all, but is anyone else jealous of that fort? When I was little my forts consisted of a sheet and a closeline.
You mean to tell me, that the ‘mistletoe incident’ WASN’T the first thing to pop in your head for Frig to be sad over?
Mr. Odineye isn’t even in Frig’s top twenty worries right now.
He’s prolly more of an amusement/distraction.
And yes, Seven year olds can be evil….so can fours, …and twos *goes to investigate the ominious crash in the other room…*
Wynni, that was my first thought. I have always been SO cheesed off at how Hod got treated in all that… I mean, Odin’s been to the Well and KNOWS… he spoke to Urda and he KNOWS… Frigg’s known ALL along… and yet Hod gets blamed and hunted to his death. I wanna see a strip (eventually) where Odin has to explain to Frigg where Vali came from and why… (“uhh well, honey, we’d been drinking you know, the big party and all that, and I was mad at Hod for not second-guessing that it was LOKI talking to him, he shoulda known, yeah, that’s it, and there was this really HOT giantess… and I figured….”) lol… pause for explosions… I know it all works out in the end when the world is re-made, but doggone it! Poor Hod!!
soo….feel free to flame me for my memory lapse, but is it Ragnarok thats got her down? I forgot when this story arc is taking place on the plot line.
This storyline takes place during one of the times when Odin is out wandering. I’ll leave it at that.
As for what she saw in the future that’s got her down… well, you’ll just have to wait to see since it hasn’t happened yet.
Personally I think Odineye is having them build him what will become a non-mobile Trojan Horse for future use… but I’m sneaky and mean like that.
Hod is so wonderfully wise. It’s not easy having a forthright, honest, coldly wise kid like that. *huggles Hod* Can’t be too easy to BE him, either…. Excellent story arc, folks!
Whoa! So far this comic has had fun, action, heroic deaths, and a beauty pageant with a male virgin deity of beauty.
And now you’ve touched me in a completely different way. Love you!
