Previously – Sent off to the deep wilds of the forest to motivate them to train, the young godlings didn’t get time to do much before the quickster Hermod showed off his speed.
Currently – Hermod passed the test and now, it’s time for him to show his work.
Well, maybe if minotaur/demon guardian was not so muclebound, he would be able to get his ear to the group to listen. Unfortunately for him, he still would not be able to hear what the group was listening to since they were listening to his approach.
And since Conner is one with the earth, of course he would hear things in the earth sooner than everyone else.
You know, it really say something when you stink so bad you can see the stench.
Poor Baldur.
Ok, at the risk of sounding like a giant suck-up, I wanted to say a simple “Thank you”, for doing this week in, week out.
Getting ready for work this morning I found myself thinking, “Hey cool, Wednesday — new Brat-halla today”, and realized just how easy it is to take something like this for granted. Look at the tweets, blogs and other stuff around here and it’s pretty clearly not the case that Jeff and the gang have nothing else to do with their time than sit around crafting the next installment, but that is precisely what they have delivered without fail for YEARS now (hel, the current story arc alone is around 5 months old and growing…)
There’s plenty of appreciation every week for particular details of individual strips (I love luminous colouring of the blue stone BTW, great job), but I just wanted to give a nod to the collective effort required to crank out 381 weeks of these puppies. Sure, this is your chosen (current) profession and, let’s be honest, life would still go on if the strip weren’t here, but I (and many others) would miss the little mid-week pick-me-up it provides.
So, thanks again for all the intelligence, humour and hard work it takes to deliver this every week.
Amen!
Well, if you’ve got to fight a guardian, stupid should help.
Not sayin’ which side, though.
It is possible that this comment may or may not be ambiguous.
No ambiguity on how much I’m enjoying this arc, though. BTW, the redheads are Freyr and Freya, yes? (Sorry if I missed where this is explained).
Their names are never given. But since they speak with Scottish accents, and in the Scotsman’s first appearance he taught the Brats how to toss cabers, I doubt they are Freyr and Freya.
Course, I could be wrong . . . .
um guys… guys, I think he is right next to you.
I like how Conor’s face changed from the seething glare to the contentedness when he was placed back onto the ground, in panels 2 and 3.
I think they were listening to the Demon’s footsteps and they stopped as he ws laying on the ground trying to listen too.
In other words… I love the accuracy of the gods relationship with each other this is my favorite comic ever!!…
