It suddenly occured to me… Back at 329, near the start of the “Backup Dad” arc, Zeus was auditioning for the part. Near the start of this arc, at 363, Odin said Zeus was at the Council session, and suggested the games. So, either
A) Zeus somehow found out the Norse gods needed a backup dad and not that that would be because Odin was away, then found out about a council meeting late, turned up and came up with the idea of the Jr. games off the top of his head, or
B) One of the Zeus’ was a fake. LOKI! (Actually, it would make more sense if either A: the one trying to be hired was the OE’s shapeshifting goblin trying to make OE look a better choice in comparison, or B: the one at the council was the shapeshifting goblin setting up the games for one of OEs plots [presumably after OE went to some trouble to keep Zeus unaware of the council meeting, explaining his trying to be hired])
Or, of course, it could be being done by some other shapeshifter with an agenda.
Or I might just be reading too much into a writer oversight >.>
